Class Experience

At Sunflower, we encourage our students to work on creative projects that spark their passions, so they can feel successful and accomplished. We support students throughout the process of choosing an art project and completing a full painting (or drawing) with the understanding that each individual student works at their own pace and skill level. We offer visual inspiration, explain different techniques and foster love of the arts and art history. While working in a group setting, our students get to explore their own creativity with the help of our knowledgeable and wonderful teachers.

Sample Class Format

• It all starts from an idea! In this class format we let our students pick their own themes, which they really love, because they have endless minds for ideas. From there we help them to depict it on paper from a sketch to a fully detailed and finished masterpiece. Children pick up new skills, get more advanced and learn new mediums while creating something that they feel passionate about. It's almost as they are learning with our really knowing that they are being taught. Because the best way to learn is to start doing!
