These whimsical creatures are going to keep everybody happy and start many creative projects. Mixed media is an art medium in which many different art forms and materials are involved. It is a great way for kids to explore and feel the freedom to create in many different directions. We will use printed photos, collage elements, acrylic paint and other embellishments to create layered and bold projects.

Takashi Murakami is a well know Japanese contemporary artist and sculptor! He is also well know in fashion, animation and his line of merchandise. In this camp we will get familiar with his bold, colorful, super flat and recognizable style and create self portraits using all of these aspects and anime.

This camp was a hit last summer and we are doing it again this summer! We literally can't wait to run it again. It will be educational, fun, creative, did we say fun? Students will choose their favorite animal to depict in an outfit of their choice. We will also be working on some fashion sketches as well as learn how to draw animals realistically, although dressed up!

This camp is always a HIT and not only because it’s based on two most favorite and known artists in the world. In this camp we will become familiar with two world's most famous painters - Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet and learn their differences. Students will learn to paint like the masters using their color palettes and following their lively brush strokes. We will begin by copying one of our favorite masterpieces and then create a unique painting in the style of Van Gogh and Monet using an inspirational picture of a landscape or a still-life.
